Kate Perry hails from Derry, Northern Ireland. While living in San Francisco she fell down a pothole, came up smiling and has been making people laugh ever since. 

 

She has written for Woman’s Hour, BBC R4, BBC NI and RTE. She received a John Brabourne Film/TV award for her short film script, Ruthless.

​

Her one woman show The Very Perry Show, featuring a pair of goggles, a rubber hat and a can of WD40 has been touring nationally and internationally to popular and critical acclaim, winning Best Comedy Show Award at the United Theatre Solo Festival, New York.

 

Kate graduated with an MPhil in Creative Writing, Trinity College, Dublin and holds an MA in Screenwriting, Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology. Her passion is COMEDY.
